Ducks Reassign Holland to Norfolk of the AHL

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned center Peter Holland to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Holland, 22 (1/14/91), appeared in 21 games with the Ducks this season, registering 3-2=5 points with a +4 rating and four penalty minutes (PIM). Selected by Anaheim in the first round (15th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Holland scored his first goal of the season and second of his career in a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Feb. 18 at Honda Center.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Holland has collected 19-19=38 points with 66 PIM in 42 games with Norfolk this season. He returns to the Admirals ranked third on the club in scoring, second in goals and tied for third in assists. The 6-2, 192-pound center was named to the AHL Eastern Conference All-Star team on Jan. 17 but did not play in the game due to his initial recall to Anaheim.
