Ducks Reassign Hendry to Norfolk

The Ducks have reassigned defenseman Jordan Hendry to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hendry, 29 (2/23/84), appeared in two games for Anaheim this season, going scoreless on Jan. 19 at Vancouver and Feb. 6 at Colorado. Recalled from Norfolk on Apr. 16, Hendry has collected 2-9=11 points and 61 PIM in 59 games with the Admirals this season. He returns to Norfolk ranked third among team defensemen in scoring and tied for third in assists.

Signed as a free agent on July 1, 2012, Hendry has appeared in 131 career NHL games with Chicago and Anaheim, earning 4-9=13 points with 40 PIM. A member of the 2010 Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks, Hendry played 15 games during Chicago’s successful playoff run that spring, going scoreless with two PIM. The Nokomis, Saskatchewan native set numerous career highs during the 2009-10 regular season, including goals (2), assists (6), points (8) and plus/minus (+5).
