ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wing Curtis Glencross to the Portland Pirates, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Glencross, 24 (12/28/82), was recalled from Portland on Jan. 12. He scored a goal in his first NHL game (first shot) Jan. 13 vs. Colorado. Glencross played in two NHL games (also Jan. 18 @ Edmonton), scoring 1-0=1 point. With Portland this season, he has 5-10=15 points with 74 penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 games. The Kindersley, Sask. native scored 15-10=25 points in 41 games with Portland last season, setting career highs in goals and assists.
Glencross was signed as a free agent by Anaheim on March 25, 2004.
