Ducks Reassign Defenseman Manson to Norfolk (AHL), Goaltender Bobkov to Utah (ECHL)

The Ducks have reassigned defensman Josh Manson to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), and goaltender Igor Bobkov to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. In addition to today’s roster moves, LW Dany Heatley has been assigned to Norfolk (AHL) on a Long Term Injury Conditioning Loan and G Jason LaBarbera has been activated.

Manson, 23 (10/7/91), collected one assist (0-1=1) with an even plus/minus rating and 25 penalty minutes (PIM) in 18 games with the Ducks this season. Making his NHL debut on Oct. 31 at Dallas, Manson earned his first career NHL point (assist) with a career-high +2 rating on Nov. 16 vs. Florida. Selected in the sixth round (160th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Manson has earned one assist (0-1=1) with four PIM in seven games with Norfolk this season.

Bobkov, 23 (1/2/91), has appeared in six games with the Admirals this season, going 1-4-0 with a 4.70 goals-against average (GAA) and .842 save percentage (SV%). Selected by Anaheim in the third round (76th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Bobkov earned his first win of the season on Nov. 7 at Syracuse, stopping 21-of-24 shots in a 4-3 overtime victory. Most recently recalled by the Ducks on Dec. 1, Bobkov has yet to make his NHL debut.
