Ducks Prospects Etem, Gibson Shining in Junior Playoffs

A couple of Ducks prospects are having standout performances with their junior teams in the playoffs.

Emerson Etem scored all three goals in a 3-2 OT win vs. Saskatoon in Game 3 last night (Medicine Hat leads series 3-0). That followed a five-point performance (2-3=5) in Game 2 of the series, giving him 5-3=8 points in the last two games and 6-4=10 points in the three games thus far.

Etem leads the WHL in playoff scoring and co-leads the league in goals.

Game 4 is tonight at Saskatoon (6 p.m. PT).

Etem was taken in the first round (29th overall) by the Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Goalie John Gibson has led Kitchener to a 3-0 advantage in their series vs. Owen Sound, winning all three games. Gibson leads all OHL goaltenders in playoff SV% (.957) and co-leads the league in playoff wins (3).

Game 4 is tonight at Owen Sound at (4 p.m. PT).

Gibson was selected in the second round (39th overall) by Anaheim in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
