- The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed free agent defenseman Ian Moran
to a one-year contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Last season, Moran, 33 (8/24/72), played 12 games with Boston, collecting 1-1=2 points with 10 penalty minutes (PIM). The Cleveland, Ohio, native missed the final 70 games of the regular season after undergoing knee surgery.

He was acquired by Boston from Pittsburgh for the Bruins' fourth round pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft on Mar. 11, 2003. The 6-0, 200-pound defenseman was drafted by Pittsburgh in the sixth round (107th overall) of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.
