After a disappointing Opening Night loss against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, the Ducks will look to get into the win column tonight against the Minnesota Wild.
Jonas Hiller is expected to start in net, while Dustin Penner looks to make his Ducks debut tonight after being a healthy scratch on Wednesday.
Yesterday, head coach Bruce Boudreau announced that Teemu Selanne would be a healthy scratch tonight, but had nothing to do with the veteran’s play on Wednesday. In fact, Boudreau told the media he thought Selanne was the team’s best forward in their 6-1 loss to the Avs. But because Selanne is 43 years of age, Boudreau said he won’t play in both games of the team’s 12 back-to-back sets.
Tonight's game starts at 5 p.m. PT and can be seen on Prime Ticket and heard on the radio on AM 830.
