The Ducks will celebrate Air Force Week prior to tonight's game against the Nashville Predators at Honda Center.
As part of the night's festivities, active duty Air Force members will participate in a medal ceremony at ice level prior to the 7:05 p.m. Ducks-Predators game (approximately 6:45 p.m.). In addition, a falconer (falcon handler) will be touring the Honda Center concourse with the official U.S. Air Force Mascot for Ducks fans to enjoy.
Friday’s U.S. Air Force event at Honda Center is part of Southern California’s first Air Force Week, to be held Nov. 14-21. The week-long celebration, free to the public, showcases the U.S. Air Force capabilities and recognizes contributions and importance of service members and the communities supporting them.
Events include Air Force Week Opening Ceremonies on Nov. 14 at Hollywood and Highland Center with flyovers of military aircraft rarely seen by the public. An Air Force Exposition will also be held in the same location from Nov. 14-16 that features interactive flight simulators; air, space and cyberspace technology; aircraft models and satellite photos; famous costumes from Hollywood Air Force films; and Air Force rock and Dixieland bands.
