The Ducks have extended the contracts of Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations David McNab and Director of Player Personnel Rick Paterson. In addition, the club has promoted Director of Professional Scouting Dave Baseggio to Assistant to the General Manager.

An original member of the Ducks, McNab is now in his 22nd year with the organization and 37th year overall in the NHL. He served as Assistant General Manager of the club for 14 seasons prior to his appointment to his current title in November 2008. McNab’s duties include overseeing all aspects of player development, having an expertise on the Collective Bargaining Agreement and its relationship to the salary cap in the NHL, contract and arbitration negotiation, player evaluation and scouting.

Paterson joined Anaheim on July 20, 2005 as Director of Professional Scouting and is entering his sixth season as Director of Player Personnel. Paterson has over 35 years of experience as a player, coach and scout, including seven years with Tampa Bay as the club’s Chief Professional Scout. Paterson’s responsibilities include extensive knowledge of all NHL personnel and depth charts, along with assisting in the evaluation of junior and college prospects.

Baseggio served as Anaheim’s Director of Professional Scouting for the last three seasons after originally joining the organization as a professional scout in 2008-09.
