Earlier this year, Mercury partnered with the Ducks and the California Highway Patrol to host its first Mercury Insurance Drive Safe Challenge ride-and-drive event. High school students from the Southland learned collision avoidance and car-handling maneuvers from professional driving instructors, participated in classroom activities and met former Ducks stars Teemu Selänne and Scott Niedermayer.
