Ducks Clinch Home Ice

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
With the Dallas Stars' 4-2 loss at home against Phoenix on Friday night, the Ducks officially clinched the fourth seed in the Western Conference and home ice for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Ducks currently stand in fourth place in the conference with 98 points and two games remaining. Dallas has 95 points with one game remaining, meaning they can't catch the Ducks in the standings.

The Ducks will play Games 1 and 2 (most likely against Dallas, though that hasn't been made official yet) at Honda Center, with Game 1 coming either Wednesday, April 9 or Thursday, April 10. Game 2 will be played two days later.

Games 5 and 7 (if necessary) would also be played at Honda Center.

Because of arena conflicts, Dallas cannot host Game 3 until Tuesday, April 15, meaning there is a strong chance Game 1 could be held at Honda Center on Thursday, April 10. Again, nothing official has been scheduled.
