by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks have assigned left winger Patrick Maroon to Syracuse of the American Hockey League:

Maroon, 23 (4/23/88), was acquired by Anaheim with David Laliberte from Philadelphia in exchange for Danny Syvret and Rob Bordson on Nov. 21, 2010. The 6-4, 225-pound winger split the 2010-11 season with Syracuse and Adirondack of the American Hockey League (AHL), collecting 26-30=56 points with a +5 rating and 98 penalty minutes (PIM) in 66 combined games. He ranked tied for second among AHL leaders with 15 power play goals. Following his acquisition from Philadelphia, Maroon ranked second on Syracuse in points (48), third in goals (21) and plus/minus (+6), and fifth in assists (27).

Anaheim now has 26 players remaining on its 2011 Training Camp Roster – 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders.
