Ducks Announce Long-Term Extension with Fox Sports Prime Ticket

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have signed a long-term contract extension with FOX Sports Prime Ticket. Prime Ticket has carried Ducks telecasts since the club’s inaugural season in 1993-94 and will remain the broadcast home of the Ducks.

“This is a great day for the Ducks organization and our fans,” said Ducks Chief Executive Officer Michael Schulman. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Prime Ticket and bring Ducks hockey into Southern California homes for the foreseeable future.”

All 82 regular season games will be televised locally this year for the fourth consecutive season. A club-record 75 games will be carried live on Fox networks, including 71 on Prime Ticket/Fox Sports West & four on KCOP-13.

“We are very pleased to extend our longstanding relationship with the Anaheim Ducks organization,” said FOX Sports West/Prime Ticket Senior Vice President and General Manager Steve Simpson. “Coming off of a record-breaking season in 2013-14, it’s an exciting time for Ducks hockey on Prime Ticket, and we are proud to deliver even more coverage to Southern California sports fans for years to come.”

Ducks games on Prime Ticket have been carried live in high definition since the 2009-10 season and have since been supported by additional Ducks programming such as Ducks Live pre- and postgame shows, season preview specials and 30-minute feature program Ducks Weekly.

Prime Ticket is the local destination for the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Clippers and Big West Conference athletics. Together, Prime Ticket and sister network FOX Sports West present more live, local sports programming than any other network or broadcast system in the market. Serving sports fans in Southern California, Nevada and Hawaii, the regional networks produce over 700 live sporting events and telecast over 2,500 hours of live and original programming every year.
