The Club Begins a Waiting List for Season Tickets After Reaching the 15,000 Seat Plateau

The Ducks have announced that they have capped season ticket sales at 15,000 and started a waiting list for all future orders. The club is capping such sales in order to provide fans the opportunity to purchase single-game seats on Saturday, Sept. 15 for the 2007-08 home schedule.

“Our community has enthusiastically responded to our success over the last two years, and we thank them for their tremendous support,” said Anaheim Ducks Executive VP/COO and Anaheim Arena Management President/CEO Tim Ryan. “As we’ve stated for the last two seasons, one of our primary objectives is to continue expanding the growth of hockey in Southern California. With that in mind, we have decided to cap season seat sales in order to be able to continue to give fans the opportunity to watch our sport in person.”

The defending Stanley Cup champions enter the season having sold out 34 games consecutively, including the last 22 regular season contests. The team sold out 25 regular season games last year, the most since the 1997-98 campaign. The club’s average attendance (16,377) and percent capacity (95.4%) were also the highest since the 1997-98 season.

At the time of Henry and Susan Samueli’s purchase of the Ducks in June of 2005, the club had 7,000 season tickets sold. The Ducks began the 2005-06 campaign with 9,500 season seats, a figure that grew to over 11,000 at the start of the 2006-07 season. A waiting list to purchase one of Honda Center’s 84 sold-out suites began in the summer of 2006. Club seat sales at the arena have also reached record levels.

Individual game tickets for the 2007-08 regular season will go on sale Saturday, Sept. 15. Tickets may be purchased on the Ducks website. They may also be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (714) 703-2545, or in person at the Honda Center box office on a first come, first served basis.
