Ducks Announce 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule

The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced the complete regular-season schedule for the 2016-17 NHL campaign. The Ducks will open the season on the road for the seventh straight year on Thursday, Oct. 13 against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center. The Ducks-Stars game is part of a season-opening five-game road trip that makes stops in Pittsburgh (Oct. 15), New York (Islanders, Oct. 16), New Jersey (Oct. 18) and Philadelphia (Oct. 20). Anaheim will then return to Orange County for its 2016-17 Home Opener against the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday, Oct. 23 at Honda Center (5 p.m. PDT).

The Ducks will once again host all 29 other NHL teams at Honda Center as part of their 2016-17 home schedule. The club will play 29 games within the Pacific Division, 21 games versus Central Division opponents and 32 against the Eastern Conference. Anaheim will have 21 home weekend dates, including nine Friday night games and 12 Sunday night contests. The five-game Freeway Faceoff with the Los Angeles Kings begins on Nov. 1 at Staples Center before continuing on Nov. 20 and Feb. 19 at Honda Center. The Ducks and Kings will also meet on Feb. 25 in Los Angeles and in their respective regular season finale on Apr. 9 in Anaheim.

Additional highlights include Anaheim’s day-after Thanksgiving game vs. the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 25 (1 p.m. PST) along with appearances from the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Nov. 2, Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 4, Boston Bruins on Feb. 22, Washington Capitals on Mar. 12 and New York Rangers on Mar. 26. The Ducks will also host their first ever New Year’s Day game at Honda Center against the Philadelphia Flyers at 5 p.m. PST.

Individual regular season tickets for all Ducks games at Honda Center will go on sale later this summer.
