The Ducks have launched the 2012-13 Learn to Play Program presented by Reebok, which offers first-time hockey players between the ages of four and 10 the chance to learn to play for free. Participants will receive instruction on the basics of hockey as well as learn how to skate properly during the four-week session run by THE RINKS Development Program presented by Honda. Learn to Play will be available at five RINKS locations, including Westminster ICE, Yorba Linda ICE, Corona Inline, Huntington Beach Inline and Irvine Inline.
The on-ice portion of the 2012-13 Learn to Play Program begins this Saturday, Sept. 29 at Westminster ICE (2:10 p.m.) and runs four consecutive weekends (also Oct. 6, Oct. 13, Oct. 20). Corona Inline (beginning Oct. 3), Yorba Linda ICE (Oct. 27), Huntington Beach Inline (Nov. 5) and Irvine Inline (Dec. 6) will also offer additional starts this fall. Space is limited, therefore registration is encouraged prior to Saturday’s first session at Westminster ICE.
The Anaheim Ducks Learn to Play Program presented by Reebok provides children of all backgrounds the opportunity to play hockey. Participants with be provided with skates, shoulder and elbow pads, shin guards, a helmet, hockey pants, gloves and a jersey.
