Ducks 2007-08 Schedule
The Anaheim Ducks will open their 15th year in the National Hockey League (NHL) in London, England with games on Sept. 29 and 30 versus Los Angeles at 9 a.m. PST. From London, the Ducks travel to Detroit for an Oct. 3 game and then on to Columbus and Pittsburgh for games on Oct. 5 and 6, respectively. Anaheim opens its home schedule on Oct. 10 at 7:05 p.m. versus Boston at Honda Center, when the team will raise the 2007 Stanley Cup Championship banner.
The Ducks will battle each of their Pacific Division foes eight times (four home, four away) once again this season for a total of 32 games. Anaheim will also play four games (two home, two away) against each of the 10 non-division clubs in the Western Conference, for a total of 40 games. All NHL teams play 72 games against teams from their own conference. The NHL regular season schedule includes 82 games in total, 41 games at home and 41 games on the road.
In addition, the Ducks play 10 inter-conference games, hosting each team from the Northeast Division once and traveling to each of the Atlantic Division cities once. Highlights at home include visits from three “Original Six” teams: Boston on Oct. 10, Toronto on Jan. 9 and Montreal on March 9. Fans can look forward to a rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup Final when Ottawa visits Honda Center on March 3. The Ducks will travel to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York Islanders, New York Rangers and New Jersey. Anaheim does not play Atlanta, Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay or Washington this regular season. Division-versus-division assignments rotate annually.
The Ducks play seven of their first 11 games away from Honda Center, but then play nine of their next 13 at home. Anaheim’s longest homestand of the season is a seven-game stretch from Feb. 15 through March 3. The Ducks play in 15 back-to-back games this season, the same as last season. Between Jan. 17 and Feb. 12, the Ducks play 12 of 13 games on the road, including nine consecutive beginning Jan. 24. Anaheim ends the regular season playing 14 of its final 21 games at Honda Center.
The local television schedule, along with Anaheim’s radio schedule for the 2007-2008 season, is being finalized and will be released at a later date.
