The Anaheim Ducks and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim’s AHL affiliate) announced today that defenseman Joe DiPenta has been signed to an American Hockey League contract.
DiPenta will be at training camp as a pro tryout, but is not on the Ducks roster. DiPenta will play with the Crunch this season.
The 31-year-old defenseman had a previous stint with the Ducks from 2005-08, a span that that him accumulate 171 games played with the club. He was also a member of the Stanley Cup championship team in 2007.
