Rinks, Ducks to Host Olympic Sendoff for Local Figure Skaters, Coaches

THE RINKS and Ducks announced today they will host a sendoff for the Olympic Figure Skaters and Coaches who have been training at THE RINKS - Lakewood ICE Facility on Wednesday, January 31 from 4-5 p.m. Fans are invited to come to THE RINKS - Lakewood ICE on January 31 to skate with U.S. Olympians Nathan Chen, Adam Rippon, Ashley Wagner, Czech Republic Olympian Michal Brezina, U.S. Alternate Mariah Bell and France Alternative Romain Ponsart from 4-4:15 p.m., followed by an on-ice autograph session from 4:15-4:30 p.m. with the athletes. The on ice festivities will continue from 4:30-5 p.m. with a free Learn to Skate lesson, games and local synchronized team exhibitions. The Ducks joined forces with the California Highway Patrol and Mercury Insurance on December 9 at Honda Center for the second Drive Safe Challenge, a one-day driving school emersion designed to equip young drivers with the knowledge and skills to be safe on the road. The program was developed by Mercury Insurance to help reduce the leading cause of teen fatalities - car collisions - and make roads safer for everyone.
