The end of the 2019-20 Ducks season was made official when the NHL announced its Return to Play Plan on May 26. Anaheim concluded the season with a 29-33-9 record and 67 points, having played 71 games until the regular season was paused March 12 and eventually deemed completed May 26 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the next few months, we'll be featuring a different Ducks player in numerical order in our annual player review series highlighting key stats and moments from the past season. You can find published pieces and a full schedule on this landing page.

Adam Henrique was on his way to what would've been his second career 30-goal season when the 2019-20 campaign was paused on March 12. The veteran center had 26 goals (and 43 points) through 71 games at the time, and was projected to finish the season (if he played the final 11 games) with 30 goals and 50 points. The likelihood he would've played out those games is strong, considering he's yet to miss a game in a Ducks sweater since his arrival to the club on Nov. 30, 2017 (a streak of 210 consecutive games).

Henrique put in the work again this past season, leading the Ducks in goals (26), points (43), even-strength goals (21), even-strength points (34) and power-play goals (5). He co-led the team in power-play points (9), ranked second in shots (169) and tied for second in points per game (0.61). A natural center, Henrique also paced the Ducks in faceoff win percentage (55.0%, 512-of-930). His 26 goals represented his highest output since a career-best 30 in 2015-16 with New Jersey, and he reached 40 points or more for the seventh consecutive season.

"I was eyeing that 30-goal mark again," Henrique said. "It was certainly something I was pushing for and hoping to get. I started off the year great, had a bit of a lull, but came out of that and was back on track to get there, 30 goals and 50 points. It was certainly a mark I was trying to get to."

The 30-year-old Brantford, Ontario native also reached several milestones this season. He appeared in his 600th career NHL game on Oct. 14 at Boston and skated in his 200th with the Ducks on Feb. 21 vs. Colorado. On the scoresheet, Henrique posted a pair of season-high three-game goal streaks (Oct. 26-29, 3g) and Oct. 14-18 (4g/1a) and recorded his 100th point as a Duck in a career-high nine-shot performance on Jan. 6 vs. Nashville. A little over a month later, Henrique collected a career-high four points (2g/2a) with a career-tying +4 rating (third time) on Feb. 23 vs. Vegas.

He had a few goals in the clutch this past season, including a game-tying marker with under two minutes remaining in the aforementioned Feb. 23 game vs. Vegas, but his equalizer in the late stages of the third period in a highly-entertaining game against Toronto on Feb. 7 was a thing of beauty. Though the Ducks lost 5-4 in overtime, his goal (a tap-in out of mid-air) is worth watching again.

There is a lot more to Henrique than just his work on the ice. A quick glance at his face every November tells the story of a man who backs the Movember movement to support and raise awareness for men's health initiatives. He started it during his time with the Devils and carried it over to the Ducks. He serves as the team's Movember captain, encouraging people to join the Video: Adam Henrique: All 26 Goals and fundraise to support the cause. Henrique also hosts a postgame photo opportunity fundraiser to benefit the Movember Foundation. Henrique generously matches the fans' cumulative photo op donation up to $2,000 each year.

For the dog lovers out there, Henrique adopted a pooch named Sammy earlier this year who he calls his "quarantine buddy and new best friend." Henrique also fostered a dog named Surfer who was adopted in April. You can see Henrique and his two furry companions at the 23:40 mark of this video.
