Dainius Zubrus collected a goal and an assist, including the eventual game winner, to lead host Lithuania to a 2-1 victory over Great Britain at the 2014 IIHF World Championship on Wednesday.
Zubrus ranks second in Division I Group B play with five points (2g-3a) and is plus-3 in three games.
The Lithuanian captain, Zubrus set up linemate Arnoldas Bosas for the opening goal 3:59 into the first period. He then broke a 1-1 tie with a power-play tally at 1:06 of the second.
"Zubrus was immense tonight and had a great game being at the heart of everything we did and dominated," Lithuania head coach Bernd Haake told IIHF.com.
Lithuania (2-1) has two games remaining in the six-team round-robin tournament: Thursday vs. Romania and Saturday vs. Croatia.
