The New Jersey Devils signed Union College goalie Keith Kinkaid as a free agent on April 18, 2011. At Union, Kinkaid recorded 12 wins in 25 starts and was named to the All-ECAC Roomie Team.
Kinkaid is known as one of the more active Devils players on social media, and created his fan-favorite Kinkode, which made its debut on October 7, 2017.
Great win & atmosphere today! 👨🏻getting the boys going. 🔪 with 3 assists & 👶🏼 with a snipe in their debuts! 🤡 with 40 saves! #njdevils
It's become a staple after a Devils victory for the netminder to tweet congratulating and acknowledging his teammates, which sometimes gets paired with a witty photo.

And although you can learn a lot about this Devils netminder by following him on social media, we have a few other fun facts fans may not have known. This Long Island, New York native started playing hockey at the age of three, and although he used to root for his hometown team, the Islanders, we love early photos of him in his "gear".
His favorite holiday to celebrate also happens to be his birthday, which is Independence Day. Although, we have to say, our favorite holiday Kinkaid gets in the spirit for is Christmas.
Especially when a visit to local hospital patients and staff to spread holiday cheer is involved.
The boys got to spread Christmas cheer and make gingerbread men with these girls at Clara Maass Medical Center today! #forthekidspic.twitter.com/Se7kr3etgb
His favorite subject in school growing up was math and first job was at Ralphs Italian Ices. He played lacrosse and baseball growing up, and if he wasn't a hockey player today, he says he would've been a lacrosse player. And in the off-season, you can find him cheering on his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees.
