He cheered on his former team through their 2014 NCAA National Championship run, which was the first-ever men's hockey league NCAA National Championship in the school's history.

Kinkaid is known as one of the more active Devils players on social media, and created his fan-favorite Kinkode, which made its debut on October 7, 2017.

It's become a staple after a Devils victory for the netminder to tweet congratulating and acknowledging his teammates, which sometimes gets paired with a witty photo.

And in case fans need an updated emoji reference guide, we have the below ready with the most up-to-date information.

And although you can learn a lot about this Devils netminder by following him on social media, we have a few other fun facts fans may not have known.
This Long Island, New York native started playing hockey at the age of three, and although he used to root for his hometown team, the Islanders, we love early photos of him in his "gear".

His favorite holiday to celebrate also happens to be his birthday, which is Independence Day. Although, we have to say, our favorite holiday Kinkaid gets in the spirit for is Christmas.

Especially when a visit to local hospital patients and staff to spread holiday cheer is involved.

In his spare time, you might be able to catch him watching his favorite movie, Step Brothers, or listening to his favorite artist, Chris Young. You might even find him hanging out with his favorite artist at a concert over the summer.

You can also find Kinkaid attending any country concert at
Prudential Center
when he's in town for it.

Although an Islanders fan growing up, his favorite hockey player was none other than Hall of Famer, former teammate, and Devils netminder Martin Brodeur.

His favorite subject in school growing up was math and first job was at Ralphs Italian Ices. He played lacrosse and baseball growing up, and if he wasn't a hockey player today, he says he would've been a lacrosse player. And in the off-season, you can find him cheering on his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees.

And the one thing Kinkaid says he can't live without? Food. And we think more-specifically, Chipotle.

And although he might be an NHL hockey player, it's safe to say he's just like the rest of us, and isn't a fan of Mondays…
