We're bringing Pickles back: Top plays by Blake Coleman

Check out Blake Coleman's best highlights from the 2017-18 season

by Brian Born @BrianBorn /

On Tuesday morning, the New Jersey Devils agreed to terms with forward Blake Coleman on a three-year contract which will pay him $1,800,000 in each season.

After spending the previous two seasons in the AHL, Coleman played his first full NHL season with the Devils in 2017-18. A surprise to make the roster out of camp, Coleman relied on his hard work and determination, earning an opportunity to play at the highest level and never disappointed. The 26-year-old forward appeared in 79 regular-season games, racking up 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. A force on the penalty-kill, Coleman recorded a team-high three shorthanded goals (3) during the 2017-18 NHL season. Coleman's play improved throughout the season, playing some of his best hockey late, including in the Stanley Cup Playoffs where he tallied two goals in the Devils five-game series against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Blake Coleman's reputation as a workhorse and gritty style of play quickly turned him into a fan-favorite for his "never quit" attitude. Check out some of Coleman's best work from the 2017-18 season and what you can expect to see for the next three years!
