Toys for Tots collection set for Dec. 10

by Staff Writer / New Jersey Devils – The Devils' annual Toys for Tots collection will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 10, when the club hosts its Atlantic Division rival, Pittsburgh Penguins, at Prudential Center at 7 p.m. Once again, this year’s event is being held in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps.

The Devils request that all fans attending the game bring new, unwrapped toys for collection.  Representatives from the USMC, Company G 2/25, based in Dover, N.J., will collect the toys at the PNC Bank and Verizon Towers, as well as at the Lafayette Street, Ford Lincoln Mercury Garage, and VIP entrances. Wives/girlfriends of Devils’ players will also be on hand to assist in the collection. Anyone making a donation will be eligible to win autographed Devils’ memorabilia.
Following the collection, the toys will be distributed to hospitals and orphanages, and to less-fortunate children throughout the surrounding communities. This marks the 60th year of the Marine Corps involvement with the nationwide Toys for Tots program.
For further information, please contact the Devils’ Communications Department at 973-757-6100 or Toys for Tots hotline at 973-724-4700.
