Shanahan – Brendan Shanahan has officially signed with the Devils.

Shanahan, who agreed to a deal in principle on Saturday, will join the club in Columbus. New Jersey continues its season-high six-game road trip Friday night against the Blue Jackets.

The three-time Stanley Cup champion is one of the top scorers in NHL history and stands among the league's all-time leaders with 650 goals (11th), 1340 points (24th), 235 power-play goals (sixth), 108 game-winning goals (fifth), and 5,009 shots (sixth).

The Devils are at Long Island Saturday, then conclude their trip Monday in Nashville. They return to host Montreal next Wednesday at Prudential Center.

Petr Vrana suffered a broken leg in Lowell's 3-2 win over Providence at Tsongas Arena Wednesday, and will undergo surgery Friday. Vrana sustained the injury after a hit by Johnny Boychuk early in the second period.
