Sestito: Expect adrenaline for A-Devils game

by Staff Writer / New Jersey Devils

On their road to the NHL, many of today’s Devils gained valuable experience playing for the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Albany Devils.

Don't miss the chance to see the next generation of Devils when Albany hosts the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Prudential Center on Wednesday, Jan. 21!

A veteran of 411 AHL games, Tim Sestito was set to make his 100th NHL appearance Friday in Anaheim.

Well seasoned at both the NHL and AHL levels, here's what he had to say about what the A-Devils can expect when they skate at The Rock:

"In regards to the game coming up, I think it's a nice taste. I did it when we were still in Lowell, we came and played a few games up here at the Prudential Center. It was a great experience in the NHL locker rooms, the huge arena. You get a taste of it. It's just motivating to work hard down there and try to get the call to come up and play an NHL game here."

On what advice he would give them:

"I wouldn't change anything, but I think they're going to have some adrenaline. I expect everyone to just be coming out flying and playing a great game. Especially playing in New Jersey, management will all be here, and that usually elevates people's games, as well. I think it's a great experience for the young guys, as well as some of the older guys. We've got some older vets there who have played NHL games: Rod Pelley, the captain and a longtime New Jersey guy. I'm sure he'll be excited as well."
