Devils prospects Steven Santini and Miles Wood were among the 30 players named Tuesday to the U.S. National Junior Team’s selection camp for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Canada.

Santini, a native of Mahopac, N.Y., is one seven players returning from the squad which finished fifth at the 2014 WJC in Sweden. Sidelined since a wrist injury suffered on Oct. 25, the Boston College blueliner could return in time for the tournament, according to the Eagles' official site.

A senior forward, Wood attends Nobles Prep (Mass.) and has committed to Boston College.

Both are members of the Devils' 2013 Draft Class: Santini was a second-round pick, 42nd overall, while Wood went in the fourth round, 100th overall.

The selection camp will take place Dec. 16-19 on the campus of Boston University at Walter Brown Arena. It will include five practices as well as a pre-tournament exhibition game against Boston University at Walter Brown Arena on Dec. 19. When training in Boston is complete, the team will travel to Kingston, Ontario, to continue the evaluation process at Rogers K-Rock Centre from Dec. 21-24.

The final 23-player tournament roster will be announced by Dec. 24.

The preliminary round of the 2015 WJC runs Dec. 26 through Dec. 31, with games at Air Canada Centre in Toronto and Bell Centre in Montreal.

The medal round will be held Jan. 2-5. The gold-medal game will be Jan. 5 at Air Canada Centre.

The 10-team tournament consists of the United States, Canada, Finland, Germany and Slovakia in Group A, and the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia and Denmark in Group B.
