NAME: Joseph Ostroman

AGE: 28

SECTION: I’m a Flex Member. Tonight I’m sitting in Section 12.

CAREER: I am a math teacher and work with students on the autism spectrum. I’ve been a teacher for six years.

I HAVE BEEN A SEASON TICKET MEMBER FOR: Two years. This is my first year as a Flex Member.

I HAVE BEEN A DEVILS FAN SINCE: I was a kid. My cousins were all fans so it was a family thing. The first game I went to, with my dad, was Devils vs. Penguins and I got to see the team play Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr, back in the day. That was all the way back when the Devils used to play at Continental Airlines Arena.

BEFORE EVERY DEVILS GAME, I MAKE SURE: I usually come here after work if it’s a weekday, but I often wear my jersey. I also make sure to finish my work.

YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT: I’ve played guitar, both electric and acoustic for 13 years. My dad started playing and got me to play. He dropped it and I didn’t.

MY FAVORITE CURRENT PLAYER IS: Kyle Palmieri on offense, and Adam Larsson on defense. I think Palmieri was a great acquisition, and I’ve followed Larsson since he was on my fantasy team last year. I drafted him because he looked big when I went to preseason games, and I was looking for hits. He ended up being more of an offensive player, so it worked out.

IF I COULD ASK HIM ONE THING: (For Palmieri) Did you ever think you’d come back to New Jersey and play for the Devils?

MY FAVORITE MARTY MOMENT IS: When he scored against Montreal. I remember watching it on TV. It was surprising that it even happened, and was exciting to see a goalie score.

MY FAVORITE PIECE OF DEVILS MEMORABILIA IS: I have a hat from when the team won the Stanley Cup in 1995, and it has signatures from the Crash Line: Randy McKay, Mike Peluso and Bobby Holik. My dad bought the hat for me and when I was young we went around at got the signatures.

I AM #RELENTLESS BECAUSE: I am a longtime fan.
