The New Jersey Devils have today announced the six games they will wear their adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey for the 2020-21 season, highlighted by five Heineken® Heritage Series games.
The Heineken® Heritage Series will feature matchups with select opponents from the NHL's original Patrick Division. Hockey historians will remember, the former Patrick Division that was established in 1974 as part of the Clarence Campbell Conference. The division then moved to the Prince of Wales Conference in 1981 and existed for 19 seasons until 1993. The Patrick Division was the precursor of the old Atlantic Division, which later became the Metropolitan Division in 2013.

"The overwhelmingly positive feedback from Devils fans and hockey enthusiasts following the launch of our adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey has been incredible to hear," said Jillian Frechette, Senior Vice President, Marketing, New Jersey Devils. "The Devils franchise, with almost four decades in New Jersey, very rarely launches a new jersey, so this was certainly a special hockey moment for the franchise and our fans. We looked to lean into the Devils' rich heritage and acknowledge our winning legacy with the color selection. We are fortunate to have a dedicated fan base that truly does notice and appreciate nods to our history. We are counting down the days until Tuesday, Feb. 9 when we can see the newest jersey in action for the first time. It was only right to partner with Heineken for five of our six Reverse Retro games given their unmistakable green branding and commitment to innovative fan activations. Throughout these special games, fans will see unique, immersive experiences and fan-centric promotions that will accentuate the Pine Barrens-inspired green that served as the base for our team's start in New Jersey."
On Nov. 16, 2020, In collaboration with adidas and the NHL's first league-wide, alternate jersey program, the New Jersey Devils
unveiled its adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey
, reflecting a reverse of the team's 1982-92 uniform. The team's first-ever green-based jersey reflects the famed Pine Barrens, legendary home of the Garden State's mythical New Jersey Devil for which the team was named in 1982 following relocation and name change from the Colorado Rockies.
Inspired by the legend of the Jersey Devil, a mythical creature said to have prowled the forests, marshes and towns of Southern New Jersey in the early 1900's, the team uniform's primary color became red and was renamed the Devils in 1982 following the franchise's relocation from Colorado. Green accents on the 1982 uniform paid homage to State's moniker, "The Garden State." Consistent with the pantone colors chosen in 1982, the Devils Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey is Green 349 and Red 032.
