Consider it one of the last times these seats will be empty.
As Prudential Center construction continues to gather momentum, work began Thursday on the installation of the seats that will hold thousands of Devils fans this October.
Prudential Center will be the site of New Jersey's 2007-08 regular season home opener on Saturday, Oct, 27, just two days after rockers Bon Jovi perform the first-ever event at the brand-new, state-of-the-art venue.
From the Club Level to the Upper Ends, each of the 17,625 seats will have sight lines unlike any others in the National Hockey League.
Fans will have spectacular views of the ice surface, LED video ribbon boards, and eight-sided video scoreboard.
Comfort was a top priority for the wider seats, which also will feature extra knee and leg room.
