Newark, NJ – The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center are once again providing an instrumental experience for students that are interested in a sports broadcasting career, as the second annual College Radio Night will take place on Monday, April 1 at Prudential Center. Building off its successful debut last season, this year’s exclusive event, in conjunction with College Radio Day, affords college radio students the opportunity to embark on a rare learning experience. This evening will be highlighted by a panel with several key members of the radio and television broadcast teams for the New Jersey Devils.
Upon arrival, these young broadcasters will be given a behind the scenes tour of Prudential Center, followed by a discussion with vital figures for both the Devils and Prudential Center. This panel will include WFAN Devils’ radio broadcasters Matt Loughlin and Sherry Ross along with MSG+ Devils’ television commentators Steve Cangialosi, Glenn “Chico” Resch, and Ken Daneyko. As well, these students will also be given access to cover the Devils game that evening.
"The College Radio Day organization is truly appreciative and excited for this wonderful 'College Radio Night' event that the Prudential Center and New Jersey Devils are offering our students. For students interested in a career in sports broadcasting, this experience is an amazing opportunity for them to see and learn how the professionals do their job at the highest levels, and I'm sure that it will inspire them." Dr. Rob Quicke, Founder of College Radio Day, Assistant Professor at William Paterson University.
The New Jersey Devils have also set up a special ticket offer to help raise funds for College Radio Day. Tickets are available for this game at a special price of $30. These 200 level tickets will be accompanied by a food and beverage voucher, as well as one Center Ice game program. To access this offer, please visit newjerseydevils.com/radio.
