Devils prospect Josh Jacobs was among the 39 players invited to the 2015 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, USA Hockey announced today

The camp is set to take place from Aug. 1-8 in Lake Placid. Players will audition for a spot on Team USA at the 2016 World Junior Championship in Helsinki. The U.S. has medaled in three of the last six world juniors, including gold in 2013 and 2010 and bronze in 2011.

Jacobs, the Devils’ second-round pick in 2014, was named to the Big Ten’s All-Freshman Team last season, recording nine assists in 35 games with Michigan State. The 6-2, 193-lb. defenseman is headed for juniors next season where he’ll skate for the OHL’s Sarnia Sting.
