Today marks the second of four contests between New Jersey and NY Rangers in the 2018-19 regular season series. The Rangers defeated the Devils on Jan. 31 at Prudential Center, 4-3. Nico Hischier (1G-1A) and Marcus Johansson (1G-1A) led the Devils in scoring in the January tilt, while Damon Severson led the club in shots with four. Mika Zibanejad (3G-1A) recorded his fourth; four-point game in the regular season and the first three-goal game of his 2018-19 campaign. Mats Zuccarello chipped in with three assists in 22:41 minutes of action.
Keith Kinkaid got the start between the pipes, allowing four goals on 25 shots (.840 SV%). Kinkaid is a career 2-2-0 against the Rangers, posting a 3.37 GAA. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 19 of 22 shots faced in the victory. Lundqvist has played in 62 contests against posting a 37-17-8 record against the Devils in his career.
