Cornerstone Sponsorship to Include Team Properties, On-Site Parking Deck

NEWARK, NJ – Prudential Center and the Tri-State Ford and Lincoln Mercury Dealers have announced a deal naming Ford Lincoln Mercury as the exclusive automotive partner of Prudential Center in Newark.  As part of the deal, Ford Lincoln Mercury receives entitlement rights to the on-site parking deck and interior Luxury Suite Levels, as well as signage for all Prudential Center sports and entertainment events and use of team marks and logos for the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Ironmen.  Prudential Center, managed by AEG, is the first major sports and entertainment venue in the nation’s top media market in over 25 years and will open on October 25 with Bon Jovi performing the first of 10 concerts.

"The Ford Motor Company is an American institution and it is with great pride that we announce this exciting partnership,” said Jeff Vanderbeek, president and chairman, Devils Arena Entertainment.  "The Devils have enjoyed a very strong relationship with Lincoln Mercury over the past few years and the powerful combination with Ford will take this sponsorship to a whole new level.”
As one of the cornerstone partners of Prudential Center, Ford Lincoln Mercury will have significant branding opportunities on the suite level, in addition to a vehicle display area on the concourse level.

The long-term partnership, supported locally by the Tri-State Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers, includes opportunities to display Ford Lincoln Mercury products in the arena, parking areas and on the arena floor. There will also be signage on dasherboards and in-ice for Devils games.  In addition, Ford Lincoln Mercury will engage customers at the community level, with promotions at local dealerships on an ongoing basis, including ticket giveaways, vehicle giveaways at games and vehicle launches.

"The Tri-State Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers are extremely excited to be a part of the Prudential Center, which will bring world-class sporting and entertainment events to the Newark area," said Matt Bradley, New York Regional Manager for Ford Lincoln Mercury Sales Operations. "We are looking forward to this relationship and the opportunity to showcase our new Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products as well as benefit the community and our customers."

“Ford Lincoln Mercury’s sponsorship will help enhance the fan experience at Prudential Center through a variety of fun promotional activities and eye-pleasing displays,” said Dale Adams, General Manager Prudential Center, AEG.

Prudential Center will be the home of the New Jersey Devils, Seton Hall men’s basketball and the New Jersey Ironmen of the MISL, among others.  It will showcase 76 luxury suites, 2,330 club seats, and an array of amenities and conveniences for fans. Prudential Center will seat 17,500 people for soccer games, 17,625 for hockey games, 18,500 for basketball games and 19,500 for concerts.

Devils Arena Entertainment is an affiliate company of the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils, responsible for the leasing, operating, and maintaining of Prudential Center, the team’s future home.  The New Jersey Devils recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary season in the Garden State.  During that time, the team has won the Stanley Cup Championship on three occasions: 1995, 2000, and 2003.  For more information, visit or
