newjerseydevils.com – Former Devils center Igor Larionov has been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame, it was announced Tuesday.
Larionov won two Olympic gold medals with the Soviet Union and was one of the first players from the country to play in the NHL. He won three Stanley Cups with Detroit, and was a member of the Devils in 2003-04, tallying a goal and 10 assists in 49 appearances.
The native of Voskresensk, Russia, collected 644 points in 921 career NHL games.
Former Edmonton Oilers star Glenn Anderson was also named to the 2008 Class, along with former linesman Ray Scapinello and builder Ed Chynoweth.
The induction ceremony will be held on Nov. 10.
