On Friday, Jan. 6, the New Jersey Devils will induct its inaugural member to the franchise Ring of Honor. Dr. John J. McMullen, a native of New Jersey, responsible for moving the team from Colorado to the Garden State in 1982 will be celebrated prior to the start of Devils vs. Maple Leafs. The first 9,000 fans to arrive at The Rock tomorrow will receive a commemorative Ring of Honor pin!

Ken Daneyko, Bruce Driver, Lou Lamoriello, Claude Lemieux, Chico Resch and Stephane Richer will be joined by fellow Devils Alumni for the Ring of Honor unveiling. McMullen's name will permanently be on display on the back wall of Section 103 at Prudential Center. In addition, the Devils and City of Newark will dedicate a section of Lafayette Street as "McMullen Way." The Devils will wear their current white jerseys for the game that night, which was the Devils primary home sweater under McMullen's two Stanley Cup Final victories in 1995 and 2000.
