by Devils Staff NJDevils / NewJerseyDevils.com

There were many memorable moments for the Devils from the 2021 calendar year (January to December). The team played an entire season in a bubble from January to May. There was a passing of the torch from the old generation of Devils to the younger generation. An exciting summer that included the acquisition of a younger brother in the draft and the signing of the best free agent available on the market. All that followed with the start of another season of growth for the Devils.

In this week's edition of Speak of the Devils podcast, Matt Loughlin, Amanda Stein and Sam Kasan take a look back at the year that was, the good, the bad and the unprecedented.

Some of the highlights include…

  • Life in the bubble
  • COVID shutdown
  • Standout moments from the 2020-21 season
  • Hischier wearing the 'C'
  • Trading Zajac, Palmieri
  • Summer excitement: drafting Luke Hughes, signing Dougie Hamilton
  • The new third jersey
  • A full year under Lindy Ruff
  • Injury adversity
  • The 2021-22 season so far
