Devils 'stache-ing wins under Hynes

by Staff Writer / New Jersey Devils

The Devils have embraced a new approach under first-year head coach John Hynes, using uptempo play and quick puck movement to win 10 of their first 17 games this season.

The team has adopted a new look off the ice as well, sporting mustaches and facial hair that have signaled a relaxing of the rules from years past.

“There are lots of changes; that’s just one of them,” Adam Henrique told the New York Times. “You can kind of tell around here that everybody’s a little bit refreshed. The new staff, with all the changes from Day 1, have done a good job getting everybody on the same page and really bringing this team together.”

Winners of four of their last five, the Devils have gone 10-3-0 since starting the year with four straight losses. They hope to stay on a roll this week with a three-game road trip through western Canada.
