Devils reduce training camp roster

The Devils today reduced their training camp roster to 32 players, assigning seven players to the AHL's Lowell Devils, and three players to their junior teams. 

Assigned to Lowell were: goaltender Gerald Coleman; defensemen Matt Corrente and Tyler Eckford; and forwards Patrick Davis, Nick Palmieri, Michael Swift, and Alexander Vasyunov. Returned to their junior teams were: defensemen Eric Gelinas (Lewiston, QMJHL) and Alexander Urbom (Brandon, WHL); and forward Patrice Cormier (Rimouski, QMJHL).

The Devils' current training camp roster is as follows (listed alphabetically):

Goaltenders (3): Martin Brodeur, Yann Danis, and Jeff Frazee

Defensemen (10): Rob Davison, Mark Fraser, Andy Greene, Jay Leach, Paul Martin, Mike Mottau, Cory Murphy, Johnny Oduya, Bryce Salvador, and Colin White.

Left wings (7): Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond, Olivier Magnan-Grenier, Jay Pandolfo, Zach Parise, Andrew Peters, Brian Rolston, and Vladimir Zharkov.

Centers (6): Patrik Elias, Rod Pelley, Tim Sestito, Ben Walter, Travis Zajac, and Dainius Zubrus.

Right wings (6): Niclas Bergfors, David Clarkson, Matt Halischuk, Jamie Langenbrunner, Ilkka Pikkarainen, and Brendan Shanahan.
