East Rutherford, NJ – The New Jersey Devils today re-signed right wing Jamie Langenbrunner to a multi-year contract. The announcement was made by Devils’ CEO/President/General Manager Lou Lamoriello. As per club policy, no further terms were disclosed.
Langenbrunner, 30, appeared in 80 games this past season, recording 19 goals, and a career-high 34 assists for 53 points. The 6-1, 200-lb. winger finished second on the Devils in playoff scoring with 13 points, including a team-high (tie) ten assists. Langenbrunner has career totals of 144 goals and 231 assists for 375 points in 657 regular-season games. He was acquired by New Jersey on March 19, 2002, after five-plus seasons with Dallas. Langenbrunner was a member of Stanley Cup Championship teams with the Devils in 2003 and the Stars in 1999. The native of Cloquet, Minnesota has represented the United States during the 2004 World Cup, 1998 Olympic Winter Games, as well as two World Junior Championships.
