newjerseydevils.com – The Devils have announced the re-signing of defenseman Andy Greene.
Greene, 26, recorded two goals and seven assists in 49 games with New Jersey in 2008-09, his second full NHL season. He was forced to miss 18 games (Nov. 1-Dec. 13) with a broken hand.
Greene made a career-high 59 appearances the year before, when he notched two goals and eight assists for 10 points, also a career-best.
The native of Trenton, Mich., has five goals and 20 assists in 131 career NHL games, all with New Jersey. He was originally signed by the Devils as an undrafted free agent on April 4, 2006, and later re-signed with the club on June 13, 2007.
