New Jersey won its third consecutive game and improved to 6-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 on the road. The Devils came from behind for their second consecutive win when trailing after two periods.

Thursday's game opened the second of 16 sets of back-to-back games for the Devils. The club is now 1-1-0 in first games and 1-0-0 in second games of back-to-back sets. The Devils are 4-0-0 against Atlantic Division opponents. 

John Moore scored the game-winning goal 1:20 into overtime and now has five OT goals since 2015-16 season. He also had an assist on Hischier's second goal.

Nico Hischier had three points (2g-1a) on the night. It was his first goal and three-point night of his NHL career/as a Devil. Hischier has seven points (2g-5a) in the first seven games of his NHL career.

Taylor Hall had four assists which tied a career-high (Apr. 3, 2013 at CGY, 1g-4a). It was Hall's fifth four-point game of his career.

Kyle Palmieri had two points (1g-1a) for his third multi-point game of the season.

Drew Stafford extended his point-streak to three games (3g-1a) after he assisted Hischier's first goal.

Marcus Johansson scored the game tying goal 15:05 into the third period.

Cory Schneider stopped 20 of 24 shots before he exited the game after the second period (lower body injury). Keith Kinkaid stopped all nine shots that he faced to improve to 2-0-0.

Damon Severson led the Devils with 23:24 TOI and was +3.

New Jersey won its second consecutive game on Tuesday night and is now 2-1-0 at home and is 5-1-0 on the season. It was the first game that required-extra time to be decided. New Jersey's previous shootout victory was, Dec. 29, 2016 at WSH. (2-1, 50 Games: only two of the 50 had progressed to a shootout). It was also the first time New Jersey won a game after trailing after two periods.The Devils were 4-5 (80.0%) on the penalty kill, including eliminating a full two minutes during OT when Adam Henrique was penalized for a trip. They were 2-4 (50.0%) on the powerplay. New Jersey leads the NHL with a 30.8% success rate on the PP.
