Newark, NJ – The New Jersey Devils have named Kevin Morley (MS, ATC, LAT) as Head Athletic Trainer.
Morley has spent three seasons as a member of the New Jersey Devils training staff and nine seasons with the organization overall. For the past three seasons, he has served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer, assisting the Head Athletic Trainer and team physicians with daily management, evaluation and care of the players. Prior to coming to New Jersey, Morley spent six seasons as the Head Athletic Trainer for the club’s AHL franchises in Lowell and Albany, overseeing care, budgeting and administration.
Before joining the Devils’ organization, he spent six seasons as Assistant Athletic Trainer for Miami (Ohio) University working with the school’s ice hockey, baseball, cheerleading, tennis and synchronized skating teams. Morley has also worked on sports medicine staffs for various athletic events including for USA Hockey, the Red Bull Cliff Diving and Flugtag Competitions and ESPN’s Winter and Summer X Games. He received a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Health Sciences from James Madison University in 1999. While at JMU, Morley was a member of the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. He is a certified athletic trainer and a member of the Board of Certification’s Exam Development Committee.
Kevin, 39, and his wife Katie, reside in Livingston, NJ with daughter, Hayden, and son, Andon.
