NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils have announced a plan to support the victims and families of victims of Sunday night's mass shooting in Las Vegas. The donations will also help the first responders who have worked fearlessly and tirelessly since the moment tragedy struck during the outdoor concert on the Strip.
To show our gratitude for fans' donations supporting the Golden Knights and Las Vegas community, the New Jersey Devils will provide two complimentary tickets to a 2017-18 regular season home game. The total donations will be transferred directly to the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.
In addition the club will also join other NHL member clubs by observing a moment of silence in conjunction with our broadcast partners MSG Networks and WFAN Radio/The One Jersey Digital Network. Devils captain Andy Greene has joined the leagues 30 other captains by recording a "We're with you, Vegas" message that is available across all League broadcast, digital and social platforms.
How it works:
• Make a charitable donation at newjerseydevils.com/vegasstrong
• Receive a code for two (2) tickets that can be redeemed for a future New Jersey Devils game
Proceeds from our 50/50 collection from Saturday afternoon's game against the Colorado Avalanche will also go towards the Las Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.
We ask for your support in helping those impacted by the tragedy in Las Vegas on Oct. 1. We stand together with the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Las Vegas community during these trying times. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping the victims and their families. We're with you, Vegas.
