newjerseydevils.com – The Devils selected defenseman Harry Youngin the seventh round, 202nd overall, in the 2008 Entry Draft.
Young, a 6-4, 204-lb. blueliner, spent the last two seasons in Windsor (OHL) following two campaigns with Guelph (OHL).
The native of Tecumseh, Ontario, enjoyed his most offensively productive season in 2007-08, when he notched two goals and 12 assists for 14 points in 68 games. No stranger to physical play, Young also amassed 155 PIMs.
Young was ranked 121st among North American prospects by Central Scouting.
"Harry is the most improved player on our team this year and possibly in the OHL," Windsor head coach Bob Boughner said. "He's very reliable defensively and is especially strong on the penalty killing unit.
"He plays against the opposing team's top lines on a nightly basis and is becoming one of the OHL's premier heavyweights."
