1. This is the fourth of five meetings between the two clubs and first since Dec. 29 at Prudential Center (3-2 W). The Devils are seeking their third win of the season versus their division rivals (2-1-0).

2. The Devils acquired forward Devante Smith-Pelly and defenseman David Warsofsky on Monday, though neither will play tonight. Smith-Pelly came via trade from Montreal for Stefan Matteau; Warsofsky was claimed off of waivers from Pittsburgh.

3. Coach John Hynes' squad is 6-3-1 over its last 10 games at Prudential Center and 15-13-4 at The Rock overall. The Devils are 17-8-1 against Carolina since 2009-10, and 12-3-1 versus the 'Canes at The Rock all-time

4. Adam Henrique has scored the game-winning goal in five of the Devils' last seven wins versus Carolina, and has 9g-1a-10pts in 17 career games against the 'Canes.

5. Tonight's starter Cory Schneider is 3-1-1 with a 1.64 GAA and .943 save percentage versus Carolina as a Devil.

6. The Hurricanes are 0-2-1 over their last three road games and 12-14-4 on the road overall.
