This is the third meeting between the clubs over the last 27 days, first at Prudential Center. The Devils split the first two in Carolina: 5-1 on Dec. 3 and 3-1 on Saturday.

2. Tonight’s contest is the final game to played at Prudential Center in 2015. The Devils are 21-16-6=48pts at The Rock during the 2015 calendar year.

3. The Devils are 16-8-1 against Carolina since 2009-10 and 11-3-1 vs. the 'Canes at home all-time.

4. Patrik Elias (knee) has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 21. Bobby Farnham has been activated from IR and is looking to return to the lineup for the first time since Dec. 8.

5. Adam Henrique has scored the game-winning goal in four of New Jersey’s last six wins vs. Carolina, including each of the last three, and has 9g-1a-10pts in 16 career games vs. the Hurricanes.

6. Three Devils’ prospects are participating in the 2016 World Junior Championship, which began Saturday in Helsinki, Finland. F John Quenneville (1st rd./2014) and G Mackenzie Blackwood (2nd/2015) are representing Team Canada. F Pavel Zacha (1st/2015) is skating for the Czech Republic.

Blackwood made his first start of the tournament today vs. Switzerland, stopping 23 shots and two shootout attempts for a 3-2 win in his world juniors debut.
