1. The Devils are opening their final homestand of the season looking to sweep their three-game season series against the Buffalo Sabres.

2. Coach John Hynes' club has points in seven of its last 12 games (6-5-1). His Devils have points in four of their last five home games (3-1-1) and are 18-15-5 at Prudential Center, overall.

3. Devils' all-time leading scorer Patrik Elias returns to the lineup tonight for the first time since Dec. 19 after missing 45 games with a knee injury. He'll skate on a line with Jacob Josefson and Mike Sislo.

4. Cory Schneider gets the start in goal. He's 5-2-2 with a 1.52 goals-against average and .936 save percentage with two shutouts in his career against the Sabres.

5. New Jersey has points in 14 of its last 15 games vs. Buffalo (10-1-4), is 5-0-0 over the last five at home and 31-10-10 vs. the Sabres since 2001-02.
