by Staff Writer / New Jersey Devils

1. This is the fourth of five meetings between the two clubs. The Devils are seeking their first win of the series against their division rivals following a 6-1 setback at Nationwide Arena on Feb. 25.

2. Coach John Hynes' squad has won three of its last four games (3-1-0) and three of its last five on the road (3-2-0). Tonight's game opens a stretch of five straight games against the Metropolitan Division.

3. Keith Kinkaid, who has won three of his last four starts (3-1-0), is making his first career start against Columbus and sixth straight overall. He's 5-2-1 in 10 appearances since the All-Star break with a 2.92 goals-against average, .900 save percentage and two shutouts.

4. Adam Henrique was one of three Devils with two goals in Thursday's 7-4 rout of Minnesota and has recorded eight points (5g-3a) over his last 10 games against Columbus.

5. Devante Smith-Pelly, who also scored twice on Thursday, became the fourth player ever to record a multi-goal game for the Devils after doing so for another NHL team earlier that season (also, Nov. 25 at NY Rangers w/ Montreal). Each of the three other players to do so scored at least 450g in the NHL: Peter Stastny in 1989-90 (also w/ Quebec), Dave Andreychuk in 1995-96 (Toronto), and Alexander Mogilny in 1999-2000 (Vancouver).
