Here’s what you need to know for tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs!

1. The Devils are opening a five-game homestand tonight in their first contest since the NHL All-Star break. Twenty-one of their final 35 games will be played at Prudential Center.

2. New Jersey is 5-2-1 over its last eight games following a 5-2 win at San Jose on Jan. 19. and 3-1-1 in its last five contests at The Rock.

3. The red-hot Devils power play is 4-for-9 (44.4%) over the last three games and ranks ninth in the NHL this season (28-for-134, 20.9%).

4. The slumping Maple Leafs have lost six straight and have dropped 14 of their last 17 games (3-14-0). They’ve been shut out three times and outscored 20-5 during their current losing streak.

5. Patrik Elias, who represented the Devils at All-Star Weekend in Columbus, remains one goal shy of 400 for his career.

6. Travis Zajac is expected to play tonight after missing Tuesday’s practice with stomach flu. Tuomo Ruutu has been activated from injured reserve.
